About Me

I am currently Director Information Security at Graylog, Inc. Prior to joining Graylog, I worked at Zix, AppRiver, GridSouth Networks and Creative Data Concepts. I hold the CISSP and CISM certifications and am well-versed in ethical hacking and penetration testing techniques and have been involved in technology for more than 25 years.

I have presented at NolaCon, ITEN WIRED, BSides Las Vegas, BSides Atlanta, CircleCityCon, DEF CON, DerbyCon , BSides San Francisco, CypherCon, Blue Team Con, Blue Team Village, Graylog Go, Hacker Halted, BSides Charm, RSA, HouSecCon and several smaller conferences. I regularly attend national security conferences and am passionate about conveying the importance of developing, implementing and maintaining security policies for organizations. My talks convey unique and practical techniques that help attendees harden their security in practical and easy-to-deploy ways.

I am a staff member with BSides Las Vegas and a member of the ITEN WIRED Planning Committee. When not at the computer, I can be found working out, playing guitar, working on tube amplifiers and guitars, traveling or just relaxing with an adult beverage.
